WHO AM I?
Passionate, driven, and committed to servant leadership, Adam Abusalah is an advocate who has proven himself in service to his community. A native Dearborn resident, Adam is eager to unite the diverse communities of District 4 as State Representative.
Since a young age, Adam has engaged and uplifted his community through service and the inherent belief in meeting those who need help where they need it most. Whether it's lending his neighbor a helping hand or working collaboratively to ensure the most vulnerable aren't left behind, Adam is there.
Growing up in Dearborn, Adam's mother was a stay-at-home mom, and his father worked in the United States Postal Service while a proud union member for over 35 years. Together, they raised their family to embrace the values of service, education, and hard work. He carried those values onward through his graduation from Fordson High School to Central Michigan University, where he earned his degrees in Political Science and Public and Nonprofit Administration.
Community-oriented, Adam's professional experience has led him to serve as an organizer with various local leaders and campaigns. He currently works with the Wayne County Commission and previously served on the Secretary of State's Collegiate Advisory Task Force.
Well-rounded in policy, communications, and outreach expertise, Adam understands the diversity of the District. He knows that too often, resources from the top-down don't go far enough to meet the needs of residents. As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever, it's critical to ensure our community's needs are brought forward and recognized. As State Representative, Adam will work collaboratively to ensure that resources are accessible and meaningfully utilized by residents. He will fight for the priorities that matter most to our District and is committed to advocating for investments in our critical infrastructure, our schools, and the health and well-being of Detroit and Dearborn residents.
